Dell India has launched its portfolio of services offerings as Software-as-a-Service(SaaS) applications for large enterprises, small and medium business and the public sector. This Dell applications provide customers with cloud-based applications that help simplify and automate IT management and reduce overall IT costs. The applications add cloud-based IT services to the existing consulting, support and managed services capabilities under Dell Services- a new organization created after the acquisition of Perot systems. The new applications according to Dell are aimed at lowering total cost of ownership for businesses and of their infrastructure with few dedicated staff while reducing the complexity of the operations, by introducing various remote-based and tool-based services and solutions.
