Cloud Computing: Looking Back and The Road Ahead

According to Wikipedia article on Cloud Computing " In March 2007, Dell applied to trademark the term "cloud computing"  in the United States. The "Notice of Allowance" the company received in July 2008 was canceled in August, resulting in a formal rejection of the trademark application less than a week later". 
This illustrates the fact that cloud computing was in infancy even just 4 years back and now is assuming the center stage - in business, government and society.
