Cloud Computing is an Innovation. An innovation is not invention or discovery. It need not be, although it may require either and often does. But the focus of an innovation is not technology or knowledge but performance and in the business this means economic performance. On economic performance count cloud computing has potential to become a true, valuable and economic contributor. In essence, cloud computing innovation is conceptual rather than technical or scientific. The characteristics of cloud computing innovation is the ability to envisage as a system what until to others appeared unrelated, separate elements. It is different and new. Cloud computing innovation is the successful attempt to find and provide smallest missing part- namely internet as the home of service composition, delivery and consumption- that is converting already existing elements- knowledge, products, technologies, demands and markets into new productive whole. The existing knowledge and technologies embraces and builds upon decades of research in virtualization, distributed computing, "grid computing" , utility computing, networking, web and software services.
