Cloud services space is attracting new players. Hitachi has announced the availability of " Agile cloud services" aimed at specific target on enterprises and service providers. The new service is comprehensive and simple, integrating block, file and content into a single virtualised pool. This service is expected make it easier for enterprises and service providers to bring all their IT resources into cloud environment and enable provisioning it to their users. The platform can be used for both external and internal clouds. Internal clouds are designed for use within an enterprise and external cloud are for serving outside customers. The new service provides security, reliability and multi-tenancy for cloud infrastructure. The USP of agile cloud services is the support extended to host of protocols and third party technologies, eliminating the need to refresh legacy systems to fit into cloud environments. The recent trend is mounting demand for strore large amount of unstructured data generated within businesses and cloud platform is the right solution for this. This service is especially useful for small companies for managing their data as they may not enough infrastructure to handle massive data.
