The State Data Centre of the Tamil Nadu Government will be enabled with cloud computing, in which the hardware and software will be used on a pay-per-use basis.A sum of Rs 11.39 crore had been set aside for this purpose, according to an official press release.
Through this initiative, government departments will not have to create exclusive infrastructure in computing. The advantages of cloud computing include lesser expenses, better shared infrastructure, low maintenance costs and wider usage area, the release said. for complete post see here
